grant's last night

aw. team love.

Hey Grant, nice close up :)

We minded the Gap, found plenty of London-town still open at 9pm, and mission accomplished.

Oh, it was an adventure for sure. We were on a gift mission of the utmost importance -Baby gear of London. The tube was involved. It was actually the theme of the evening. We found ourselves wandering from Leicester Square to Piccadilly Circus, and it certainly was a circus. There's nothing like comparing teddy bears and "Mind the Gap" bibs and baby-ts, in gift shops crammed so full of other tourists. There's nothing like a good tourist body-slam, all parties, desperate to get their London garnish to decorate otherwise bland suitcases. Bland, sorta like the food. Gifts are to suitcases, as salt, vinegar and oil is to fish and chips. ketchup helps too. ketchup always helps. just not in suitcases. That's right Dad, I too love ketchup. Last night I cleaned out a pub of its ketchup. every last pack. I also went up to the bar to ask for salt (for the chips. That's British for fries) and a glass of water. the barmaid asked me if I wanted ice. somehow I thought she got confused between salt and ice. they don’t sound the same. So I say, "Not ice, salt.” And then she holds up the glass of water, and says, "Ice for the water?" I'm an idiot, but am getting ahead of myself, because ice, ketchup and salt have nothing to do with Grant's mission of a last wander through the bright lights from Leicester to Piccadilly. Grant, you're a great dad, regardless of suitcase garnishes.
